What this means exactly is the recruitment process becomes corrupted, because the quota system is then determining the outcome instead of the normal way of using traditional methods like merit and quality.
People don't like to normally get all negative about new and trendy ideas so they say nothing. Nobody wants to be an old grump.
The fact that those ideas are often a load of old cunt and sail along unchallenged is evidence that the existing leadership isn't exactly fit for purpose either.
So will a crap idea like this be enthusiastically adopted - absolutely

I'm not sure their interpretation of diversity comprehensively includes the LGBTQ+ crowd. It's Women and the BAMEs. And within the later group they are primarily thinking about the Black representation, not the other dolly mixtures.
