I didn’t watch any of it but apparently it was a good tournament and final with a lot of hype around the kid who looks closer to retirement than puberty.

But is it really a sport?
Apparently it was the most watched sporting event on BBC ever, outside of football.

That’s quite impressive aint it. 4.8million I heard. More than the olympics?
I wasn’t one of them.
Did you know only 7 countries recognise it as a sport?
It was the most watched Event on Sky outside Football.
Apparently back in the day ,when on the BBC,back in 1983.the Final between Keith Deller(on debut) and Eric Bristow attracted 10 million, the biggest watched sporting Event outside Football and Olympics.

So more watched than the olympics then or is it just this year?

Back in the day people only had 3-4 channels
I would say there were certain Events at the Olympics that were a lot higher.Torvil and Dean, the Ice Skaters attracted 24 million in the 1984 Winter Olympics on the BBC.
