Its fantastic to see Numbers and Smurf getting on like a house on fire. Might be a bit like a ventriloquist and his dummy but great to see all the same. :) :D

The unpadded version.

And the weakest link is Downes, but he has potential.

Areola! Well what needs to be said other than they had over a year of first hand experience of him, just a good but late payment. IMO to flip the table and start him in the prem.

Cornet, he along with Downes the jury is still out. The football version of the Swiss army knife.

Paqueta on paper looks good.

Scamacca is a definite yes, just needs good service

Aguerd and Kehrer former looked a prospect before his injury, latter looks ok but needs to settle

Emerson decent enough.

All though depends, we all know that Moyes can make a good player look shit, it depends on how he uses them. But with his statement about needing a plan B it looks promising, so long as that plan B isn't a tweak of plan A.

Time will tell and Moyes will give some plenty of it. One thing for sure is that no one can whinge about the wallet not being opened this window. Wisely spent? See the first sentence. As for our record signing lets hope he's the dogs bollox and can give Scammacca some decent service. He wasn't that much cheaper than Haarland though and he looks a fucking beast.
Question though. Was anyone else intrested in Paqueta or did he grow up supporting the irons?

Never heard of him before we started sniffing around tbh but has had some rave reviews I hear ,proof will in in the pudding when he steps out for us.
Finally prised the £50 million pounds fucking Moyes was clinging on to for dear life from last Januarys fiasco.

Welcome Paqueta.

The Haaland price comparison is vey misleading. Haaland negotiated a buyout clause into his contract when he signed for Borussia Dortmund that allowed him to leave for a bargain basement price after two and a half seasons; effectively allowing him to choose his next club.

The key thing here is you don't get too many Brazilian players getting more than 30 caps by the time they're 24 (I know he is now 25), playing in the attacking midfield role. He is definitely our most exciting signing since Payet. The difference this time is its a signing backed up by Scamacca, Kehrer, Cornet and Aguerd; and of this moment in time we still have Rice, Bowen, Benrahma and Fornals all in our squad. We now have a far stronger squad than we have ever had. The other hopeful sign is that players who come from the French League tend to do well in the Premier League.

know little on the fella. What im not sure about is who's position he takes? how does he fit in to moyes tried and tested system?
if he's a no 10 where does fornal play , or is he a thomas replacement to sit with rice or will he be lumped on the wing, in which case is that bowens spot.

I'll admit to not being a tactical genius (or frankly any kind of genius, may surprise some that!) so anyone with the Knowledge tell me how this plays out with the current squad.

either way owners have put the dosh in this season so if moyes fails its on him.

it is exciting but the last signing to make a real impact was payet albeit coufal/thomas did make real in roads in their 1st season. Guess we will find out by xmas.

Ta for that dano. When you put it like that it gives you goosebumps. :) . Do you reckon there might be an elephant in the room now though with the midfield? The chemistry between Rice and Soucek disappeared last season and someone's nose might be put out if a Payet type player starts pulling the strings.
