I'm afraid although Crouch was extremely interested in the move and to come out of retirement, it all went horribly wrong when he made a secret visit to Sullivan's pad .
After decanting himself from the clubs Tuk Tuk, in his haste to get the deal over the line rushed into Sullivan's pad forgetting that the Dwarf only had 60 inch door frames installed to save money.
Crouch unfortunately met the doorframe square on and rendered him unconscious, and requiring stitches to his forehead.
Upon regaining consciousness it was found by the medical team that were present, that he was suffering from severe concussion and loss of memory.
This resulted in Crouch being unable to remember who he was and what he was doing, all efforts were made to remedy this and conclude the signing, but, alas to no avail and therefore we have missed out on another high profile striker, much to Sullivan's dismay.
