Hurting the owners without hurting the manager or the team is very tricky.
Voodoo might work.

But it's not sustainable.
The clubs at the moment are surviving, sky money etc is helping it through these times, but they need the fans spending money. Merchandise is big business. No fans, no sales, it's a big loss to keep taking.
I have mates who have season tickets and trust me you wouldn't believe some of the shnide tricks our cunts have conjured up in their pursuit of the pound note. It truly is staggering. For me personally I'd like to see our club shops empty and our attendances drop like a stone. But of course that won't happen, 30 year ago maybe, but not now, far too many tourists who haven't a clue about our club and it's history.
Don't know how many "Hard Core" Fans that don't go any more and we're 5 years in now...to the day..h69 wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 9:14 amYep. Cut our noses off to spite our faces so to speak. Just don't go, empty stadium, no merchandise sales. Of course we could just wait for the grim reaper to do his job, but you know these grabbing cunts I'll cling to life like shit to a blanket.
Knowing our luck little cuntfuck I'll probably live to a 150.
If we start protesting after this season we will be rinsed in the media. They were already saying yesterday that one of the reasons we are playing so well at present is because the fans are not there as they turn on the team too quickly and create a toxic atmosphere.
Clubs have shown they really don't need fans....it is the team that need positive fans or no fans at all.
Oh yeah absolutely agree. A boycott is ridiculous really .h69 wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 10:20 amFair enough but not turning up is probably not doing either.Newmarket wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 9:35 am
And if “we” DONT continue protesting just because the players produced a few decent results what message does that send out ?
Then the media WILL be all over it .
I know HU will have their work cut out implementing it but the message will be clear.
Support the team not the regime.
Oh boo hoo, ting ting from Hong Kong's watching us play Burnley on a Wednesday night in December. Or Stockport in the cuntfuck cup. So what? Are you going to fiz up and go bang, if you don't have your West Ham fix? Course not. You've already said the reason we've been playing well is the fact that there's been no fans, so what's the difference, or are you not allowed to voice an opinion, make a protest? The media don't need an excuse to slate us, they'll do it anyway regardless. The next time we're getting beat at home, don't forget to remain positive, maybe Sullivan I'll give you a refund if you've been a good boy, or maybe he'll take your ticket money and wipe his arse with it while he's sitting there having a glass of merlot with his chums.h69 wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 9:14 amYep. Wouldn’t it send out the message that fan discontent is normally driven by lack of success on the field?Newmarket wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 9:35 amAnd if “we” DONT continue protesting just because the players produced a few decent results what message does that send out ?h69 wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 9:14 am

Aren’t fan protests normally driven by what is perceived as lack of investment which usually means an inadequate team?
However unpopular our owners are and will continue to be if we had 2 or 3 good seasons like this one behind us there wouldn’t be any protests.
Unfortunately I can see this season being a one off partly because fans are going to return next year so the protests against the board will and undoubtedly continue
If people feel the need to protest then as someone on here has suggested go and do it outside dwarf towers rather than in the stadium.
You are of course entitled to your opinion but on this occasion I think it is you talking bollocks.Newmarket wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 6:39 pmYou don’t go to games anymore . I don’t go to games anymore.Whiskyman wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 2:18 pm

In that respect we are the same.
However , where we differ is the way in which we look in from the outside .
I understand why a lot , a fucking lot , not just a few , of the fan base are upset with the board .
And it has very little to do with the fact that we , most of the time , support a shit football team.
I have plenty of time for fan groups such as HU as I can see where they’re coming from .
You , on the other hand , hold them in utter contempt .
Which is your right of course.
But I’m sure one of their representatives will be on at some stage to confirm what I am going to say here.
And that is that they will never , ever , encourage protests inside the ground , they will encourage the SUPPORT the team NOT the regime as I mentioned in an earlier post.
Which makes your last paragraph above , and whoever stated it originally, a load of old Bollocks.
West Ham have always been shit and we probably always will be and most of us acknowledge that .
The fan base just don’t like to be taken for mugs that’s all.

Firstly I don’t hold supporters groups in utter contempt. I understand why they exist and agree with many of their points. I do however hold idiots who run onto the pitch waving corner flags in contempt. I hope you can see the difference but if you can’t it isn’t my problem. The people running Hammers United are, I am sure, in the main good people who have the club's best interests at heart. Because I don't think releasing black balloons in Liverpool or marching through the streets prior to matches is going to have any impact on the way the dwarf runs West Ham doesn't mean I hold them in contempt, does it.
Secondly if, as I think we both believe, the discontent is about the dwarf’s way of running the club why is it a load of bollocks to suggest protests are directed against him personally? I get that Hammers United, and others, ambition is to "force him out". Personally I don't think he'll be "forced out" until he wants to be but I would think it's more likely that demonstrations at his home would cause him more personal inconvenience thanand embarassment than anything happening in the ground. And of course a protest away from any matches would not have the potential of distracting the team from their endeavours on the pitch.
Nor do I get your point about the fan base not being taken for mugs. West Ham have never been a well run club during the time we’ve both supported them. So being taken for granted is something we should have become accustomed to. It is nothing new is it ? If we allow ourselves to be taken for granted, as you and I both used to, that is our right. But it is also our right not to be and to withdraw our financial, if not our spiritual, support. No one has to be taken for a mug unless they want to be. We've both been taken for granted in the past, not because we had to be, but because we chose to. Big difference imo.
But it's all about opinions. On that I'm sure we both agree. What will be will be, no matter what either of us think.
