Admin question.

Anyone know how or why my IP Addy has been banned?
Initially I thought I'd been banned since the message said 'you have been permanently banned', but reading on further it says 'your IP'.
You have been permanently banned from this board.
Please contact the Board Administrator for more information.
A ban has been issued on your IP address.

No real issue once I read it was the IP, I just turned on the VPN.
Just thought I'd ask as it's never happened before.

I'm thinking it's a bug, so I posted a question on a phpBB site for forum administrators and am now just waiting for a response to see if anyone else has experienced a similar issue
