Caught Billy on TV this morning....Love the Bloke...funny cos politically we'd row like fuck.... :lol:
But speaks from the heart and love that...and his songwriting is genius...just incredible..one of his best here...

Steve and the lads from his first band in Barking had a reunion at Dingwalls last year .

Used to watch em every week back in the day .
Remember the Friday night residency at the Brewery Tap anybody ?

It's probably a classic and still played everywhere. In almost every city, every hour of every day. Ok not Luton Airport...

Imagine how many musicians play this in their set lists: from Las Vegas in the casino's, street buskers everywhere, all the clubs, bars, cruise ships, weddings, Guantanamo Bay, trips to the Moon...it's up there with "I'm forever blowing bubbles..."

I know it’s originally a traditional folk song but Eric Burdon kinda made it his own .

There are some truly awful versions of the song out there though . This being one of em ...
