The end of the second Elizabethan era. RIP Queen Elizabeth II. Born into privilege, but the duty expected of the monarch is not necessarily an easy life. 70 years of hard work for the country, still working in her mid-90s. An outstanding woman. Thank you, ma’am, may you rest in peace.

I was lucky to have her as my boss, serving in Her Majesty's Royal Navy.

I was talking to someone today, though I was was not crying, but tears were flooding from my eyes.

A very sad time for our country..Like most I have never known anybody else to be our Head Of State..Queen Elizabeth II has always been here.Always been a part of our lives.We knew nothing else..She was the most famous person the world has ever seen.She was a special lady and was dignified right to the end..RIP Elizabeth II xxx

I’m no royalist or anti-royalist so her death not directly affecting me really but she done so much for the country and well respected everywhere. Her dedication and devotion was 2nd to none.
Sad that she’s gone and we’ll see so much change. Will be weird to see big ears on the stamps and money. Assuming they’ll be bigger to fit the ears on.

My daughter lives near Windsor and took a walk to the castle to lay flowers this morning. There were thousands of tributes.

It will be so strange now. The only monarch I, and I would imagine almost all of us, have ever known.
