If I had a vote in the US I would vote for the first politician who put American interests first and stopped being led by the nose by the rest of the world into being the world's fucking policeman.

If the Afghans themselves can't prevent the Talibann taking control it's an Afghan problem, not the West's. So to answer your question my vote would go to the American politician who advocated {

1 Pulling out troops from the world's so called trouble spots and letting the fucking fuzzy wuzzies sort their own problems out---and then:

2) Suspending every US tax dollar of foreign aid to countries whose "human rights" issues were not considered appropriate to US standards----and then

3) Twisting the arms of the world banks, mostly US controlled, to freeze the bank accounts of states such as Pakistan who give backdoor support to the likes of Islamic State.=====and then

4. But unfortunately the vote killer. To suspend all financial support to the state of Israel, the creation of which back in the 1940s is the cause of many of todays' Middle Eastern issues.
Ahhhh I see you have squeezed in your favourite point at the end.

I for one, is not a Trump or Biden fan, both have egos rather than helping people. Money speaks louder than words for them. Shame on both of them. :evil:

Of course. If I were an American citizen I would want my tax dollars put to use for the benefit of my fellow Americans. Not sending the military into the world's trouble spots at enormous cost, financial and human, to resolve issues which need to be resolved by the indigenous population.

And as the root cause of most of the world's troubles is religion I would not want to see my hard earned tax dollars supporting a state created purely on the basis of a particular religious belief.. And of course in the interest of balance I would not want to see tax dollars flowing into Pakistan by way of foreign aid for precisely the same reason..
