I wouldn’t call myself keen but my Mrs has an allotment and I find myself over there at weekends gophering for her when it’s not pissing down .

It’s hard work but you can’t beat vegetables you’ve grown yourselves .
Apart from the Turkey I think the rest of our Xmas dinner was home grown .
We have a freezer full of vegetables and various soups made from them .
It’s amazing how much different they taste compared to the shit you get in supermarkets full of preservatives etc.

I’m a landscaper by trade, but the minute I finished my apprenticeship, I moved into civil engineering.

Got no interest in gardens, although I can appreciate a good one when I see it.

Much rather a paved driveway, and an astroturf lawn.

I grew runner beans, chili's, strawberries, raspberries, lots of herbs and rocket last spring/summer. Given me a real taste to grow more.

Funny you mention Chillies , only today We sewed 6 batches of the hottest chilli seeds I could source and we already have tons of garlic and onions that have been in the ground for about 6 weeks already.

Lots of digging and weeding to come between now and the spring though .
