Not with the wandering Kouyate next to him. Would have had Noble in there and if he wasn't fit then Nordtveit with Fernandes in for Feghouli (and Cheik CB with Fonte)

Attacking but a scary line up, a good few weakness in our team-Feghouli offers Byram little protection, our CM is open to being over run and the two CBs are a bit slow.

Am a bit nervous to be honest lads.

Looking at the team sheet , and got a sick feeling in the stomach . looks to be a 4-4-2 formation , with Ginge/Fonte as the CB pairing so we will be in slow motion all game , why no Kouyate at the back amazes me . In the middle we have Koyate/Lanzini so wears Noble , they are going to steamroller over Lanzini with this formation . And on the wings we have Snodgrass/Feghouli who have been no help to the fullbacks at all neither cover their forward runs or defensive duties . Could have played Fernandes/Ayew on the wings , I was hoping Slav would pull something out of the bag this game with the forced replacements , but he has just reverted to a soft option this is probably the team we all thought he would play not what I expected at all . Just hope I am proven wrong and it all goes well , but honestly cant see it.

Have to agree with everything you have said mate , just hope we are proven wrong.

Would have gone 4-2-3-1

Byram - Kouyate - Fonte - Masuaku
Nordtveit - Noble
Fernandes - Lanzini - Ayew -
Carroll.

25 mins until we have to dig deep and graft.

I like Carroll as captain, not a fan of Reid with armband ( i know he is injured but i dont like him VC ), good choice IMO. Be interesting to see if he copes with it or goes a bit mental and wallops into tackles etc

When i saw Nobes on the bench i was thinking who would be captain... I first thought Fonte, after that not many options are there? Something we need to address in the summer IMO, that's why i would quite like us to go for Zabaleta - who is a natural leader

KB - The Baroness to everyone else - has given a very chirpy interview to C&H,where she extols the virtues of our head coach and suggests people should desist from participation in polls and follow her examples of people loyalty...rousing fucking stuff and an eye dampener for the most hardened...

Actually went on the wagon today for 21 days hopefully.

Did my worst ever 10k last night so need a kick up the arse.

Got to start up yoga and meditation again as well. Get in sync.
