Refused extension on his current contract and not signing a new one. Will go for free in the summer if not sold for a negligible fee in jan or offered a better contract.

Personally I don’t think it’ll be about the contract but the playing time. Can’t blame him for wanting away from Moyes. Shame though, I always liked him.

Agreed, and if he goes i hope he can rekindle his international career Moyes managed to put a spanner in.

I think out of most players, he desrves a good farewell.l, and a free kick of Moyes's bollox.

Now we wait for all the BS from Moyes.

I think Whisky may have a point re international break = slow news week click bait on this one tbh …. Not sure it’s true etc .
Moyes HAS ruined him tho . Manages to get an awful lot out of average players but with this fella it’s just been a waste of talent .

If he has any sense he’ll hang on to see what happens with Moyes before deciding on his own future .
Can you imagine signing a contract extension and then finding out he has another 5 years of playing reserve left wing and doorman at 39 year old Cresswell’s house ?

I wouldn’t sign it either but I might if I knew there is a new coach coming next summer.
Bring back Jonathon !

Sensible decision for him not to sign. Let his contract run down and in January is free to speak to anyone about signing in the summer. At least that's how I think it works.

But it's still a slow news week unless you're Jadon Sancho or Harry Maguire's mum.

Claret and Booze , nick is it? Suggested the same. But he also mentioned the old chestnut of Bowen not signing too like it was new news.
