AEK Larnaca v WEST HAM UNITED
Long distance in travel but not a bad team as I used to live in Cyprus from 1985 to 1990 when I was at boarding school near Leeds as my parents live there during that time.
AEK Larnaca is a strong team in Cyprus and a regular top 4 side.
Lived the myself too, doubt they will be playing on those sandy pitches of the past. Also hope we don't underestimate them, though the distraction from the league is not good.
Talking about distraction, now would be a good time to introduce the likes of Scarles, he did well last time out, and he wasn't to shabby against Ipswich either.

Hope the stadium there wont be concrete seater as I used to watch Apoel Nicosia in Makarios Stadium before they moved to GSP Stadium outside Nicosia. Hope AEK Larnaca to have a good pitch. Would be nice to see some youngster in the squad and not sure if Scarles will be fit to play as he is injured from the U18 win at Ipswich in FA Youth Quarter Final.
AEK Larnaca is a tough side so we mustn't let them take over us.
"I am always correct", but "if I am wrong", please refer to the first phrase.
Following last night's disastrous 6-0 defeat at the hands of AEK Larnaca, West Ham boss David Moyes issued a rallying cry.
'This is by no means over' said the experienced Scot. 'An early goal at the ILS and who knows ?'
But it's hard to see the hapless Hammers who sit bottom of the Premier League with 20 points from 26 games making it through to the last eight.
Moyes, still in a job reportedly because Rafa Benitez, Marcelo Bielsa, Steve Bruce, Alex McLeish and surviving Chuckle Brother Paul turned down approaches by diminutive chairman David Sullivan added.
'Bad defending let us down. It was going to plan keeping it tight for the first 85 minutes until they scored in the 8th. And there was a foul in the build up for their sixth. And the pitch was very hard. And we were suffering from jet lag. And the chance missed by Danny Ings when it was only four was poor. And I'm sure our half time oranges were spiked with extra hot chilli sauce. Either way it's not my fault and never is. I'm very close to turning things around here, now move along before I give you a slap'.
