B ut he did tell everyone we're not run like a circus anymore.
Seriously though if you were employed on a decen t salary would you say anything against your employer which may jeopardise your nice little earner? Of course you wouldn't, nor would I or anyone else. So why should we expect Noble to?
We'll agree to disagree there Whisk.
First of all if I professed to love and bleed claret and blue like noble and have the money that he's earned through a long career with the club, then I'm afraid I would have stuck one on Moyes chin and told that other dwarf cunt to go fuck himself.
Secondly I wouldn't have wrestled a fan to the floor stating such utter shite as being in fear of my life during that Burnley match. Ginger had far more class that day escorting a disgruntled fan off the pitch in an orderly fashion. No need to give it the big daddy look at me shit that noble did.
And thirdly (is that even a word) I wouldn't be sat at a photo shoot alongside some bright eyed kid whose just signed a first pro form knowing full well we've a cunt in charge who'll never give him a chance and another cunt of an owner who'll sell you as quick as look at you to the highest bidder.
No, sorry I just couldn't do it, I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than be that pimps patsy.
A very average footballer with all the class of a wet fart in my eyes.
But then again we should be grateful to him as he had the nouce to see that we're not run like a circus anymore!
Fair comment. But as I said in my earlier post we only have to look around at the number of old boys employed by the club to get some idea of the type of place it is. Noble is the one in the most senior and therefore high profile position but there are loads of others on the payroll, coaching staff, academy and so on. Noble is a symptom of the problem, not the cause imo.
One thing I disagree on is your comment about Noble and the fan who ran onto the pitch. I agree his comment was plain stupid but my criticism of him that day would be in not giving the cunt a fucking good hiding.
Why Is There Only One Monopolies Commission. Isn't That A Monopoly?
If. we’re talking morality I agree with you. But the mismanagement of West Ham is only, in effect, damaging the returns on the investment of it’s shareholders. In the overall scheme of things it’s no big deal, so why jeopardise your nice little earner?
Look around at the number of old boys employed by the club and I think it goes some of the way to explain the ethos of the place don’t you think?
Why jeopardise your nice little earner ? , well you have said you wouldn't nor would anyone else in your opinion speak out . Well first off you don't know everyone , there are some people out there with the strength of character and intelligence to know what in there eyes is right from wrong and what constitutes proper conduct , and to not worry about the consequences , yes its morality call it what you like , even stupidity if it make's you happy , but a small minority will stand and be counted .
My reference to mprality was meant to say that if West Ham were,an organisation whose conduct might impact on the well being of the world at large then there might be an incentive to speak out even if it meant jeopardising one's career prospects. But West Ham is a football club, and the way it is managed, or should I say mismanaged, has absolutely no impact on the world at large. As I said in my bearlier post a quick look at the numbver of old boys working for the club gives us an indication as to the ethos of the place does it not ?
One or two ex players, Rio Ferdinand and Tony Cottee most promionently spoke in facvouir of the outfit who were hoping to take over the gafdf a while ago (can't remember their name) but I don't recall any ex player currently on the payroll ever saying anything detrimental against the board. And to be honest nor would I expect to. Why would they want to upset the applecart ? In any case even if we bvelieve that Noible "loves the club" at the end of the day it doesn't really matter that much to him if we finish 7th or 15th does it? He will still be employed and if he chose to speak out do we really think it would make the slightest bit of difference to the way the place is managed.?

Seems people have difference of opinions on morality. Mine is it is your own personal stance and ethics, not who you work for and how it can change the world. When you have money and dont need any more morality shouldnt disappear at the chance of making more.
Morality is a tester, how far will someone go to keep it?! Some not that far it seems.

The dictionary definition of morality is "principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behaviour."
Can you explain how involvement with a bloody football club fits in with that?

Why?; i dont think i said it did did i?! The person in question just happens to be involved in one. I think it is you that is making his morality something connected directly to football, rather than how his moral principals have been shown up.

I make that right mate. Bloody stupid to compare some bloke at a football club with someone maybe working for something like a bank. Dunno what Nobles morals have got to do with what happens at the club. Like you say he wants to keep his job and wouyldnt change a thing if he spoke out against the board anyway., Dont bite the hand that feeds you my old teacher at juniors told me.

Get off the high horse son. Easy to say what youd do when your not in the position. Not as easy when your in the middle of stuff. Any case this hasnt anything to do with morals has it. What good would Mark saying anything do even if he did think the club was being run wrong. And anyways the club aint about morality. Sullivan and his mob might be not a lot of good but they aint doing anything immoral since he give up the porno industry anyways.

Me get off my high horse , I think you need to go back and read what I actually said and why I said it .
WM said , " Seriously though if you were employed on a decent salary would you say anything against your employer which may jeopardise your nice little earner? Of course you wouldn't, nor would I or anyone else" .
My reply was not to have a dig at Noble , but to the fact there would be those who would speak up , as my reply states " Depends what sort of values you live your life by , imo some would speak up and say it like it is and not follow the party line " . This is what I said prior to the statement you replied to , to put it in context ! .
