The overall quality of the PL is the difference, the days of a big 4/6/whatever seems to, at least for now be over with Leicester clearly being ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham and clubs like Us, Everton and Wolves with Leeds and Villa looking like they are capable of competing for European spots.
I don’t think the overall quality of teams in the Premier League is better than La Liga. But the difference is that there are more clubs in it actually capable of winning the league. Realistically only Real Madrid Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are likely to challenge in Spain but there are four in England if Manchester United are included. And of course only a few years ago Arsenal could’ve been Added to that list but they are way off the pace now.thomasswe wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 8:20 amThe overall quality of the PL is the difference, the days of a big 4/6/whatever seems to, at least for now be over with Leicester clearly being ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham and clubs like Us, Everton and Wolves with Leeds and Villa looking like they are capable of competing for European spots.
For example a team like Liverpool can dominate a season and barely make it into CL the next if they get unlucky with injuries.
Agree on all counts.thomasswe wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 8:20 amThe overall quality of the PL is the difference, the days of a big 4/6/whatever seems to, at least for now be over with Leicester clearly being ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham and clubs like Us, Everton and Wolves with Leeds and Villa looking like they are capable of competing for European spots.

At least in Spain and England we haven’t yet got to the stage that exists in Germany where the only question is how many points Bayern Munich are going to win the league bye.
