For the players Arsenal have, their position is a bloody disgrace.

It`s also the young players that have come through their Academy that have given them their bright moments this season.

As much as their young players are good, they have a manager who tries to play like Man City. Unfortunately they haven't the players to perform like them. Take the front 2 out of their team and they're just bang average.

Apart from Saka, and Martinelli who they signed, are the kids that good ? Emile Smith-Rowe has been referred to as the Croydon deBruyne but where they get that comparison from god only knows. deBruyner has an end product, where's Smith-Rowe's ?

How many of their players would get into our normal starting XI ? Lacazette certainly, an on form Aubameyang, but when was the last time he was on form ? I'd certainly take Saka and Martinelli would be a great asset for the future but the rest don't look all that tbh. For the strength of their squad they're about where they should be imo.

Bellerin would have got into our team last season but we now have better in Coufal. Likewise Tierney would have replaced last season's Cresswell, but not this season's version. A top of his game Thomas Partey would have walked into most PL teams but it looks as if Atletico knew something about him that Arsenal didn't. Nope, they are a bang average side that needs major surgery and a complete reboot. Villareal are a decent side but nowhere near the top of the table in La Liga and over the twop games looked a far more balanced outfit than the ESL wannabees.

A little unfair on Tierney I reckon .

Nothing wrong with what he does that putting Fornals in front of him and Ogbonna beside him wouldn’t cure.

Cresswell can deliver a cross or a set piece along with the best but what he CAN’T do is run or defend.

He should take up grid iron and spend 99% of the game on the bench.

Tierney can run, granted. But defend ? Nah.
