Have always though Mee was the better of the Burnley CB's and I wouldn't want him at the club , so no thanks .
Croatian CB Duje Caleta-Car looks the better prospect , and though Croatia lost yesterday , I don't think he played poorly .
Imo Tarkowski is one of those players whose price is only as high as it is because of his nationality. Last year figures of £30 k were being thrown around. Utterly absurd valuation. I'd put him in the Dawson price bracket, maybe atwo or three grand higher because he is a bit younger. But not good enough to justify more than £6k tops imo.
Agreed.
Let's face it whisky, if you're English, can stand upright, you're worth 20mil in today's market. Chuck in the ability to run with a ball and the sky's the limit.
Tarkowski's a decent centre half, but like you say, price wise 30mil's laughable.
A bit like comparing Gary Strodder with Franco Baresi.

Very unkind to suggest the dwarf is only releasing that paltry sum into the transfer kitty. Once factored in, the addition of VAT pushes the amount of the stunted one's largesse to a far more realistic sum of £17.62. Clearly you will stoop to any depths (is it possible to stoop to a depth ?) to besmirch the good name of our benefactor. The man is an icon and is deserving of our undying respect and gratitude.

As you say mate. A "decent" centre half. Just like Dawson and countless others. The bloke on loan at Fulham last season, Andersen, is just one who would be a better, and probably significantly cheaper, option.

And your Strodder analogy is a good one. They are similar in that both their names contain 12 letters.

Totally agree BB , and Moyes doesn't need decent , he wants young with potential , players who have above average ability .

I know the board are a tad on the tight side, but surely they must realise 6k for Tarkowski is a bargain. ;)

Glad to see you spotted my---errr--deliberate mistake. I wanted to make sure you were paying full attention. ;)

Yep.
For far too long we've taken journeymen over the hill tosspots looking for a last payday. I hope ( but won't hold my breath) we get some decent young signings in that can push us forward.
