Bearing in mind that he was wasted out on the flanks for pretty much the whole of the first half.

He was still their best player by far, creating EVERY chance for them.

Nobody said it was, the point is selling Bale has hardly turned out detrimental.
Well I thought he was carrying that team and they wasted the money. Had they kept him AND got Pochettino, I think they would have won the league last season.

Not gonna dispute that , like I said you would need a crystal ball to determine what would have been had they not sold Bale

The point still is selling him hasn't been detrimental to their placing. Unless of course the crystal ball says otherwise.

like I said....I think it has as I think they would have finished 1st rather than 3rd but like you say, neither of us know the answer to that.

No we don't, can only go on what is and not what ifs. And the what is is that they finished higher this season without him . Who knows, with Bale in the side Pooch might have had to make do with different players
might have set things out differently. ( though the latter might not apply as I don't really know his take on the game. )

So either scenario, them winning the league( thanks for selling Bale )
or bumming it isn't wrong.but on current form compared to past and not what could have been, hardly detrimental.

not from Deschamps. France is shit - especially Martial. They need Pogba and Grissmann...
