Re: Everton v West Ham official match thread & preview

I take it you agree with my comment that it was a mistake sending the first choice team out in the Mickey Mouse on Wednesday? I'm not sure that footballers shouldn't be able to play 3 hours in a week but the tiredness bandwagon does seem to keep rolling and if you give someone an excuse-----. To an...

Re: A bit of perspective on Wednesday night.

It's like people are ashamed of this great British establishment. While the rest of the world view it with awe. Speaking personally I am appalled that an institution totally funded by compulsory subscription effectively shielded paedophiles within it's ranks even after complaints were made much ear...

Re: Everton v West Ham official match thread & preview

In a small gesture of defence, the effort on Wednesday must have taken a toll, trained athletes that they are. Everton had a free week. We looked decidedly leggy in the 2nd half. Payet for the whole match. I take it you agree with my comment that it was a mistake sending the first choice team out i...

Re: mcclean

My take on Mc Clean is simple It's up to individual I am a Catholic from West Belfast and have worn a poppy on several occasions as a mark of respect Mc Clean has lost family at the hands of soldiers during the conflict and feels he can't wear one in conscience Poppies rightly celebrate the war dea...

Can't disagree with too much that peopkle are saying about Sakho. But what I find puzzling is that many who are giving him grief are cutting Carroll so much slack and backing him to the hilt.

Imo they are both unreliable and should be shipped out sharpish as soon as possible. Pair of wasters.

Re: Everton v West Ham official match thread & preview

Thought 1st was pretty even , 2nd half was bloody awful we were 2nd best in every department apart from Antonio but he couldn't produce the final ball . As a lot of people have said on here thought payet gave up 2nd half not sure why he wasn't benched TBH , I can only think he took obiang off as he...

Re: Everton v West Ham official match thread & preview

hope to god i am wrong but i just do not feel confident about this one today :( To be honest nor do I. Our record against Everton is fairly dire over the years. That said if we do manage a result I will see it as proof positive that we have put many of the early season problems to bed. Hoping for a...

Re: mcclean

West Brom are a club who I'm sure have had plenty of fans who died serving their country in wars. And as such, their decision to play McClean was as questionable as McClean's stance himself. Anyone can have views. I recall a black NFL player recently sitting down for the National Anthem in protest ...

Re: Best Food at

I went somewhere in Newcastle, no idea what it was called, was just an old style pub but the food was generous portion and bloody nice as well, if I recall I had lasagne and chips. Not really outside the ground as such however, I tend not to buy food from outside places, prefer to eat away from gro...

Re: When Have You Been Ashamed Of West Ham ?

The worst thing for me was when I wrote to all London PL clubs towards the end of 2009/10 asking if it would be possible for me to bring along a party of kids from the Under 16's I coach to a training session at the club. I received replies from every club, except one. Arsenal offered the opportunit...
