Re: Everton v West Ham official match thread & preview

hope to god i am wrong but i just do not feel confident about this one today :( To be honest nor do I. Our record against Everton is fairly dire over the years. That said if we do manage a result I will see it as proof positive that we have put many of the early season problems to bed. Hoping for a...

Re: mcclean

West Brom are a club who I'm sure have had plenty of fans who died serving their country in wars. And as such, their decision to play McClean was as questionable as McClean's stance himself. Anyone can have views. I recall a black NFL player recently sitting down for the National Anthem in protest ...

Re: Best Food at

I went somewhere in Newcastle, no idea what it was called, was just an old style pub but the food was generous portion and bloody nice as well, if I recall I had lasagne and chips. Not really outside the ground as such however, I tend not to buy food from outside places, prefer to eat away from gro...

Re: When Have You Been Ashamed Of West Ham ?

The worst thing for me was when I wrote to all London PL clubs towards the end of 2009/10 asking if it would be possible for me to bring along a party of kids from the Under 16's I coach to a training session at the club. I received replies from every club, except one. Arsenal offered the opportunit...

Re: Why is m view on this so controversial?

Must admit, I'm extremely worried that my view on this seems to be controversial... The media aren't milking the fighting scenes against Chelsea. The behaviour was disgraceful, you simply can't defend it. I spoke to two mates who went to the game and both of them said the scenes continued outside t...

Re: football grounds now defunct

Fucking hated the dell, proper piss hole of a place. Completely agree with that. Unbelievable that it was a top division ground. One of the worst I've ever visited in a top division, but even the Dell doesn't compete with Wimbledon's Plough Lane or Kenilworth Road at Luton. Unbelievably Luton still...

Do they offer a decent vegan or non-pork option?

Apparently the non pork variety served at White Hart Lane are to be recommended. Unfortunately for those of us with normal tastes you can't get the proper ones.

I've got a lot of time for Man City.

Because they're not Man United. Silly I know, but I love it when they end up as top team in Manchester. :D

Re: Teams everyone else hates . . . . .

I'll go for Arsenal. Since Wenger came onto the scene they've always played very watchable football which is in complete contract to the stuff they served up under George Graham. And,as a club, they are a pleasure to deal with. They always reply to correspondence (Please take note Messrs Sullivan &a...

Re: Controversial Ogbonna Opinion

Oggy reads the game well, and is a very good CB/defender,a great left foot, but can get caught out if anything happens quickly on his right-side and is caught out occasionally. Don't really get Ginge being the forgotton man, hope it's not scapegoating that would be really unfair. Don't think it's sca...
