Well maybe tony Carr should have said in his paper interview for how grateful he was that the club honoured him with a testimonial. Smacks to me of someone who is a little disgruntled about being let go. But I do agree the club should have put the personal touch and maybe announced it last home game...

It not just the renting of the stadium Gonzo, it would be also all the costs associated with running the stadium, manning and policing. still not sure any other youth coach would have had a testimonial or indeed an ambassador role at any other club.

I heard he got close to half a million from his testimonial. And was earning £250m a year as club ambassador. I expect the paper didn't report that and present half the facts. Think he has done all right from the club last few years. My gripe with the club would be they didn't do the personal touch....
