Correct, he's a defense first kind of manager which why the song starts with 'Zouma in the back!"

Re: Well now David.

Can't believe I'm doing this, but I feel the dour Scot needs a bit of defending (no pun intended - but well...) Our first half of the season saw injuries, at various times, along the back line to Johnson, Dawson, Zouma, Aguerd and to a lesser degree Ogbonna. This unsettling of our back line has mean...

Re: UTILITY PLAYERS

Ben Johnson’s ability to play rb & cb in a 3 or a 4 at such a young age is invaluable. Fornals will benefit from more playing time with Paqueta, Scamacca & Benny, these players play much more like the youth team players he came up with through the Spanish system. Antonio is in his perfect ro...

Re: Man Utd vs West Ham Official Match Thread

I was impressed by how we played at OT, we had quite a bit of possession and played some nice stuff. Admittedly we were bereft of chances in the final third, Benny, Scamacca & Bowen could have done better imho. That said, the subs fixed that & if not for some great defending by Dalot & M...

Re: Summer transfer window thread (What ins and outs do you want to see?)

A man of his word is good to see . And as Alan said above , shows Lingard up for what he is .. Begs the question, how much a week can you actually spend ? If the story is to be believed, over a three year deal he'd agreed with us, he'd get much more than a one year deal and 30k pw more with Forest....

Re: Pre season

I'm not panicking just yet, couple more games to get to speed before the all important Euro qualifier. We shouldn' t even worry about Citeh, treat that as a preseason game too, try to avoid getting tonked and then fine tune for the all important dates on Aug 18th & 25th. Think we'll still get po...

Re: Summer transfer window thread (What ins and outs do you want to see?)

A winger . Told you Cresswell is our starter LB . Again . I wish that bug eyes cunt would just fuck off . Wouldn’t be surprised if Moyes will revert to a back 5. Then Kostic makes sense, as you can’t play Masuaku or Fornals as a lwb as Moyes tried last year. The quickness of Aguerd gives Moyes some...

Re: Summer transfer window 2021 Thread

Vlasic does look like he favours his right foot and therefore would offer cover on the left attacking side (such is the game now) or in a central role. This means he's cover for Benny or Fornals, as is Lanzini, but still we persist with Yarma as cover for Bowen on the right? To me the game on Saturd...

Re: PAI Capital

So they have an agreement in place to buy the club and the Stadium? Surely that would be close to a billion invested, then what an open checkbook? Also if pinky & perky take this deal for around 4-500 mill, they then turnaround and give 30% back to the council (in the region of 150m). Whereas if...

Re: Summer transfer window 2021 Thread

Jens Stryger Larsen linked now. Ultimate utility player who's listed as a RB but has played more games as a RM, LM and CB in Serie A than he has as an actual RB. 30 and cheap so that ticks all of Sullivan's boxes. In all honesty he probably wouldn't be a bad squad filler but I'm at Havard Nordtveit...
