Fuck me did Bowen put a shift in..reason why he came off I think, think he'd gone...Micky has a prob have to give him a week
off otherwise we'll lose him for longer.

Did say tighten MF up if hanging on...but on reflection watching that,I would have left it as well...well done Moyes for that one.

Great Team performance, proved we can play some footie against the best around...
What a Player Foden is...Blokes a world beater already.

Fuck it...Arthur MOTM for me.....why not...... :D
That clearance under the chin of Mahrez was superb

Good point and much better performance that that 5-0 drubbing last season under Pellegrini.

Hope Antonio will be fit against liverpool, if not Fulham.

A very good point there... but and I know Man City were battering us and pretty much dominated most of the second half.. but it could have been one of those games where the team mainly doing the defending (and we dug in and defended really well by the way) had been able to break away on a rare occasion and with a bit of luck and or brilliance or a bit of both could have nicked an impressive win and I felt a couple times we could have, had Yarmolenko down on our right stop fucking it up and then losing the ball in a decent position, there was a couple of moments where he did well to get pass his man and then he could have whipped it in to the box and you never know someone could have been on the end of it, another when he played a poor lay off and then they were able to attack us again. That pass back was fucking awful as well but luckily that didn't come to anything.

As I said though apart from us perhaps doing better in the final third when we did have the ball in their half we still defended well against a very talented attack and held on for the 1-1 draw, where in the past we would have been spanked 1-4 or 1-5.

So, for the last few games and including this one today I have felt fairly confident that we can get something out of these games currently and long may that continue, I feel we can definitely get something against Liverpool next. It is the games after that is the real test and games we should or feel we should be winning (I know it's no gimme) and as we know it doesn't obviously work like that but just the way we are playing at the moment with no fear and confidence and with great team spirit and also generally playing well, defence and attacking, we have no reason not to push on from here but as they say let's not get carried away and take each game as they come... win, lose or draw.

A bit worrying that 2 games on the trot, Antonio has to come off.

I think last week was tactical as he wasn’t having his best game. Today he was playing well so hopefully it’s just precautionary.

Encouraging that after seeing the fixtures at the start of the season I thought we would have four points at this stage. But we have eight so only a 32 more and we should be safe for another season.

We dug in and did what we had to.

Foden changed the game for them.Such a good player for his age.

Losing Antonio didn`t help us.His a fantastic outlet. His hold up play to bring others in is pivotal to the team Haller SHOULD be able to do a similar job,but can`t for some reason. His a unit,so should be able to.

Got to get Pearce & Nolan to sort him out.

Coufal,my MotM.

Happy with that though.

4 WEEKEND MATCHDAYS IN A ROW WITHOUT BEING PISSED OFF!..Got to be a record.

For that first half performance a deserved point.

2nd half a typical Moyesasauras defend for your lives performance.

Rice outstanding today.

Tbh I've started taking Rice's performances for granted. Even last week when he could be held accountable for 2 Spurs goals he had a decent game overall, and as you say he was excellent today.

And I'd single out Coufal and Masuaku for special mention. My only criticism today was our inability in the second half to get the ball to the midfield lads to keep posession. We resorted to great big hoofs , even after Antonio had gone off, and the ball just kept coming back. All our midfield players are comfortable on the ball so give it to them FFS.
