Empty stadia? Zero atmosphere? £15 a pop?.
Ooh that’s tempting 🤯

As far as I’m concerned it simply rubber stamps the justification for people either not to watch or the beat them at their own devious game and watch without paying them a penny.

Thoughts please.

Personally,I think it`s disgusting, especially in the times we are in right now.A kick in the teeth.for many, though I know a few will be happy paying £15,but I don`t think it`s right.

Sullivan will be singing in the bath tonight.
though I know a few will be happy paying

You've hit the nail on the head Terry. Some will, some won't. All about choice. If there's a massive take up of the £15 prices will go up, no one buys it they'll come down. It's that simple.

But what I think is dumb is charging the same for every game. I wouldm't watch Burnley v Palace for example if someone paid me £15 tbh. ;)

This is a decent article on the subject.

I think the £15 price is a tempter - see if they can get away with it. The EFL Cup is priced at £10 and I thought that was cheekiness personified.

The £15 price will deter most neutrals. However, say the price was £5 would they sell more PPVs by increasing the neutral audiences.

And I take your Burnley v Palace and raise you a Brighton v Sheffield U

Of course it does Tone. But there are millions of suckers out there who do pay out for overpriced crap simply because it has a particular club crest on it. And while those people are so easily parted from their hard earned there will be a queue of people waiting to relieve them of it.

Tbh I think it's only a matter of time before the subscription thing changes and it will pretty much be done on a match by match or club viewing season ticket system. Time will tell.

Match by match payments are fine by me but at that price and with football in its current incarnation it seems they’re almost daring us NOT to pay.
I’m more than happy to play that game of course :)

About an hour or so’s money you would spend in the boozer normally so I reckon they’ll get enough fucking mugs to stump up the readies watching these glorified training sessions whilst listening to unemployed ex pros giving their wisdom of the glorious game .

Football started in 1992 don’t you know

One important aspect for PPV - for me - is will the broadcast contain adverts. I can't abide that type of thing. It's annoying, because I wanted to watch the
international mid week but it was broadcast on ITV. And I don't do ITV.

Now normally say in a World Cup the BBC will show re-runs of games that were awarded to ITV (for live covering) so generally, speaking one can keep up to date. No harm no foul.

However in between major tournaments it's getting impossible to watch these internationals and maintain interest. It's just something that evaporates slowly over time. I wish I knew a solution.

My dodgy Sky stream has Paddy adverts full of ginger families exclaiming tirty euro and such like Irishisms
Hawking Kerrygold and other Irish produce.

Quite charming.

It's nothing to do with the TV companies. Apparently ALL the additional revenue raise will go to the clubs, not Sky/BT. And of course the idea was put fprward by the clubs themselves. 19 clubs voted for the proposal and only one, Leicester, voted against it.

And let's not forget no one has to pay it. Just as no one has to buy overpriced club merchandise. But there are enough silly fuckers out there who, struggling or not, are happy to part with their hard earned. Some cunts are just begging to be fleeced. And of course there will always be people happy to oblige.

If gas/electricity companies double their prices that's profiteering. People have to use their products, no avoiding the price increases. Something like this is in everyone's power not to pay,. Let's not get all sniffy about it. ;)
