Match day forum

I would say that the introduction of the “Matchday” section of the forum has been a failure imo.

Not a lot goes on there , not a lot of people contribute to it in any way , imo of course...

And since I’m bored I thought I’d like to suggest that we scrap it and reintroduce the match thread section where all the match threads (say from the start of this season ) can be archived ...

Anyone agree ?

I’m glad you think that’s a good idea mate ...

Maybe I’m speaking a bit out of turn here and if so I apologise , but I get the impression that the forum has taken a bit of a back seat lately in favour of all the social media stuff (which is quality by the way) ?

With the 5th birthday thing coming up it might not ba a bad thing to remember where H/C come from , metaphorically speaking.

I get the impression that most of the you tube subscribers/live chatters don’t even know the forum.

They certainly don’t use it

I think a lot look in and funnily enough I've just had an email from someone who posts in the chat asking if they can post an article on here to prompt debate.

The forum is getting twice as many visitors over the last month although I don't have a Scooby why that might be.

I can't take any credit for the amusing HC Twitter as I've not even logged in for the best part of 2 years.

WhatsApp & Social media are bad news for forums regardless of whether they're football or anything else.

I'm a member of a pinball forum and that has lost many of it's users to various FB groups. That being said I do believe that there will always be a place for longer discourse rather than a punchy reaction.

I do enjoy the live chat on the video's though. It tends to be a regular group and not as trolled or volatile as social media and is a lot like the forum in that respect.

To be honest the whole West Ham internet genre is completely saturated. I can't keep up with how many websites, podcasts & YouTube channels there are now.

This is here to stay though and if there is anything that you feel I can do to improve it just say.

I'm a bit pushed for time at the moment. My mancave is close to completion but once it's done I'll have my own dedicated space to do a lot more on my laptop.

What an exciting game that was! The home team was successful in securing a convincing victory by scoring 3 goals, while the visiting team made a brave effort but was only able to score 2 goals. Both sides gave it their best on the field, making it a nail-biter till the very finish. Congratulations to both the home squad for their outstanding performance and the visiting team for their valiant effort! Let's continue to support our teams in the forthcoming games! 🙌🎉 Go Team Go! #MatchDayFever #SoccerPassion
