There's another one in High Wycombe but you might find that one a tad more difficult to approach.
Who the fuck is General Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?

A good few years ago, prob 20+......I said to my girlfriend of the time, right we've a week off,
where do you want to go I'll leave it up to you ,whatever you say, we do....Was willing to take the
hit,was expecting Rome,Paris,anywhere.......But no word of a lie... she says... ESSEX..

"Your f**cking kidding me,don't say that cos of me and footie"....but no she was deadly serious,
She'd been to Frinton when a little girl and loved it, always wanted to see it again, and started
banging on about other things she wanted to see including Burnham, FNY, and the
"Secret Bunker"...Also she wanted to see what Jaywick was really like..

So off we trot to find the "Secret Bunker"...it's easier to find than Heathrow Airport....

But we actually had a brilliant time, even got out of Jaywick unscathed...

Spent 15 years great years growing up in Kelvedon Hatch in the 70's, and it wasn't very secret back then. We used to ride trial bikes over the top of it, but I didn't actual go inside it until 3 years ago. The equipment and technology is what you would expect of the time. I think it could home 600 personnel, 200 beds, 8 hours sleep each. The length and construction of the blast corridors to get to the heart of the bunker were quite chilling.

Worth half a day out if like that kind of thing.
Pretty bubbles in the air.
