British & Irish Lions

Post by dorsetdano »

Absolutely awesome performance today. Itoje & Teo best two players on the pitch; although there were countless superb performances. Itoje by far the youngest player on the Lions side, but he bossed it. Jones should make him England's next captain before the Six Nations

I do enjoy reading the Aussie press when they lose at union or cricket. They never lose to the other team, they always beat themselves.
Anyway, Australian union has been woeful since Cheika took charge. No idea how he is still in the job -- not just losing to Scotland, but a Scotland sans Hogg.

Quite enjoying Gatland and his insane Welsh bias. Dacey, Hill and Francis. Ffs.

Not seen any of the Lions warm-up games yet but Brain Moore was quite scathing about the call-ups when I watched England play the Argies

England gotta right hiding from the Blacks in the under 20s world final....
Was really boys against men stuff...

Think it's the Blacks being exceptional rather than England being rubbish,as they've
thrashed everyone they've played.

Looks like their dominations gonna continue...

Problem is that Northern hemisphere rugby is often based on strength and power and The All backs base their game on extreme pace and sublime ball skill, they rarely need to look when they are passing. Some of the clubs in the UK like Saracens are starting to try and change to that style now

Watched the All Blacks beat Samoa 78-0 and though they were rusty first half (its their first game of the season) and didnt play so well they still went in 28-0 at HT, some of their play in the second half was breathtaking.

Got a couple of starters to come back as well including their skipper. Saturday should be superb.

Quite a few handling errors in the 2nd half and conceding penalties from the scrum was always going to be a bad sign.
