RIP Prince Philip. :(

Another part of our era has just ended!..

Duke of Edinburgh. WW2 veteran and rock to Queen Elizabeth 2nd and a man with a wicked sense of humour... Hated the press and said what he thought to them. :D

In cricketing terms, of which he was very fond, it's a real shame he was run out on 99.

A prod into the covers and a quick single would have done it.

RIP Phil.

Always like his sense of humour.

During a walkabout at an Edinburgh electronics factory, Prince Philip remarked that a fusebox bursting with wires looked "as if it was put in by an Indian".

My favourite was when he visited a care home and spoke to a wheelchair bound elderly lady .
He asked “ do people trip over you ?”

Liked the fact a reporter said, are you OK?

He replied, well do I look unwell!...

Yep . (Unlike Covid-19) this guy actually existed and this country will be all the poorer for his demise.

I don’t usually contribute to threads like this but this fella had my respect and I’m genuinely gutted that he’s gone , I just hope her majesty doesn’t follow him quickly as so often happens.
Now Harry and the other thing ... different story.
Bring back Jonathon !
