I think maybe someone saw that the drive to politicise and/or racialise entertainment had just gone too far.
As soon as this was floated it was clearly unpopular, and in truth there wasn't even any great support from wokeists.

It creates an us and them culture...the very small minority that felt that way is getting bigger each day...
