Sky have now upped the ante by considering the banning of a number of other films along with Gone With the Wind.
Among them is The Last Samurai.
Which I watched last night as I won't watch pawns in the PL kneel down for a criminal.
Sky says it has overtones of white dominance.
What absolute fucking bollocks.
Yes, Tom Cruise is white. But he fights on the side of the oppressed Samurai. Against other Japanese.
The film is about the importance of honour. Something Sky have turned their backs on completely.
Personally I think that Sky have realised it's overtones and message is about standing for tradition and defending something that's been in a national psyche for a thousand years.
And they don't like it.

As I swelter in the heat, and it's actually a bit cooler here out west, I wonder what this country will be like in 50 years.
I won't be around unless I break records but my kids hopefully will. And what does the future hold for them ?
With global warming turning huge swathes of Asia and Africa into uninhabitable deserts with temperatures of over 50 degrees, where does the population move to ?
If you think 2000 illegal immigrants escorted here from France by Thomas Cook, sorry, I mean the UK Border Force, in the last 3 months is bad, you ain't seen nothing yet. Daily, over a thousand try to make it to Europe from Turkey and Africa. The Greeks push some back but it's like trying to fix a leaky roof with kitchen roll. I read today of hundreds of mainly Afghan refugees being turfed out of the camps on the islands to make room for new arrivals. And the camps are already at 6 times their intended capacity. They end up sleeping rough in the main square of Athens. With no money, begging to survive.
Estimates are that there are 200,000 waiting in Libya for their turn. And throughout Africa, as many as 5 million are planning to move north. And that's before global warming really takes hold.
And with it all will come hostility. Rightly or wrongly the new Europeans will demand houses and jobs. But very few will get them. The dream that was sold to them by the vermin people traffickers will lead to open warfare before too long when reality hits home. The current BLM riots will seem like a minor tiff at a village fete when it kicks off.
There are hundreds of liberal hand-wringers who'd welcome them here with platitudes like 'integration' and 'diversity'. Just madness. To integrate you need to have a sustainable lifestyle. It's not possible. The developed world is too small a place for the population of underdeveloped countries to move to. We've already reached the point of global over-population.
Fucked if I know the answer but it's a major problem that politicians throughout the developed world are hoping will just go away.

Economically we will be living through a deep recession and dealing with Brexit consequences
AI -will be replacing 50% of all office jobs and automation will provide further labour savings
And all the while, the population will increase,faster. There is not a solution to this conundrum because society is not designed to accommodate changes to it's fundamental structure.
It's hilarious because the equation is simple. More people every year plus the exponential use of digital super intelligence = huge numbers of people without a function.
And where the irony is most sharpest,we are designing this new world right now.
