Ahh...the much touted "Deal".

It's all so much sabre rattling. Bottom line is there needs to be a way of working together going forward. For both parties. But we are in a tricky position.

The EU can not make it easy, or look like a good thing, because there are significant anti-EU factions in many of the member countries who will be energised if Brexit is seen to be a success. A successful Brexit could produce a rush for the exit doors for all but the heavy beneficiaries of the EU.

But the UK can not simply walk away. Simply abandoning its fiscal commitments will result in it being untrusted in the wider world. It will not be a good move. And starting a trade war would be suicide.

And anyone thinking President Tango will come to Britain's aid is deluded. He will, no doubt, get a second term as the opposition the Democrats are putting up are, to the wider American electorate, little different to Che Guevara or Lenin. His success has proven that having liberal, educated elites on the East Coats and West Coast are not enough to counteract the vast swathes of insular fools who fall for this arse and his rhetoric. Tango is interested solely in the health and wealth of the USA, and will exploit anyone and anything to improve his position. Doing us a favour is not an option he has the tiniest interest in unless it benefits him, regardless of effect on us.

The fact is that the people in place to negotiate the terms of Brexit are perhaps not best suited to find a compromise and a mutually beneficial way forward. They are far too busy preening and posing and playing billy big bollocks to the media. Yet we are relying on them.

It does not bode well.

Once they are introduced to it, they also love your cheddar. Its a hard cheese that does not have a lingering smell and tang of workboot innersole, which is novel. English cheese is so good. And your feeesh and cheeeps. But not your Rosbif. Or your spice. The tiniest trace of chilli and they run round like their hair is on fire.

In return, we offer you baguettes and amuse bouches. :D
