Evening all , a rare appearance on here for me and I hope you are all well,was thinking of going to the Railway for a few pre match pints today but instead opted for the Carpenters Arms in Stratford instead and what a blinding decision it was.. Completely banged out before kick off... DJ playing loads off stuff from a bygone age...Ska featuring heavily plus loads of stuff from 70s and 80s..only downside was the plastic glasses but that's pretty much par for the course on match days..10 minutes walk to the ground, didn't leave the pub till 3:40 and in me seat at 3:55...
After the game straight back and the boozer was rocking, same DJ...music blaring...everyone dancing, burger van outside so grub not a problem...I left at half eight, 10 minutes walk to Stratford station and on me train in no time...
That's it from me, 1st time in the Carpenters for me since about 10 years ago, new owner is sitting on a gold mine and I think I've found the match day boozer for me.
