If true now is the time for Bilic to man up admit he has made a mistake and let bygones be bygones.
I think he will gain 100 times more respect that way than just carrying on and either not picking Antonio or getting rid of him.
Everyone has something to learn, Bilic is no exception, yes he fucked up but he has to learn to be told also. It's a sour pill to take, but if he's a man he should prove it by acting accordingly and not stamping his feet and refuse to to listen just because he is boss.
But I fear that knowing Bilic and his no nonsense approach towards players we wont be seeing too much of Antonio so soon. If all this is true of course.
I fail to understand why some have to use the term " This is the first game of the season , or one game in" in regards to comments made about Antonio and Bilic. It would be more correct to say it's the umpteenth game. Also stating their trust in him sorting it out. Well as we have seen, he hasn't.and now the issue has been forced on him.
Edit.. I also wonder if Bilic had any real plans for Antonio or has this all been a means to an end. One which seems more likely by the day.
He puts Antonio Rb, declines the option to buy another. Brings in wingers who can operate in Antinios preferred area. We are stocked up in midfield area and seriously lacking in defence. Well I truly hope his game plan works.
We is going to lose a player we know can find the back of the net.
