Predictions - Chelsea 3 - 1 West Ham - Chelsea are eager to win for their new manager and thus make it harder for West Ham to cope and once Payet come in 2nd half, West Ham will score BUT Chelsea probably score 3 goals by half-time.

I hope i am wrong on this predictions and I wonder what Lawro will put....

If so, it's a big loss for us - For me the key is the defence - Ours has been shaky for a long time, even before the season ended whilst Chelsea's has also been shite past season - But under Conte they will no doubt improve defensively. Terry/Cahill/Zouma all didn't look convincing, you got 2 slow as fuck defenders, 1 inexperienced one, their full backs largely underpeformed, especially Ivanovic, so they had their weaknesses last year. But it's new season and new manager, I expect they will improve defensively whilst we have a back four playing together for the first time. We will either play Byram who isn't used to being a first choice or we'll play Antonio who is a weak link, we got the new LB in as well - It's going to be tough for us to get a result I think.

The only way we can hurt teams at the moment seems to be either the pace of Feg on the break or good crosses into the box/set pieces/knock downs from Carroll. How well Chelsea deal with those threats will be the deciding factor. They got a lot of quality up front, versus our defence. Best chance of us winning this is if we take an early lead and they buckle under pressure, then we hit them on the break or if they deal with our set pieces/crosses/knock downs to Carroll poorly.

However we did play them off the park only a few months ago, but we're missing Lanzini/Payet who will hurt teams with their creativity.
