Took the opportunity yesterday to do the Stadium Tour one last time. Fully expected half the ground to have been ripped up but that wasn't the case, although it was obvious quite a bit had been removed and there were one or two places we couldn't be taken.
The plus side of all this was that we were allowed in areas we weren't permitted when I had previously done the tour, e.g. the Directors' Suite. (The Security guy who talked us through this bit made it clear that Her Ladyship wasn't universally popular with the staff )
In addition, we were allowed onto the pitch so my boy and I got some decent photos.
But the biggest bonus of all was that we were hosted throughout by Phil Parkes and Alan Taylor!
Both genuinely nice guys and clearly still have a great love for West Ham. Cracking day all round.
