The Greek has never been what you would call premier league quality , so not even sure why we even brought him to the club .
Thought Johnson had been doing well since the mighty Moyes had brought him back into the fold , and had been one if our best performers of late .
Hush your mouth sir. He is one of "Timmy's" signings apparently (At least according to Claret & Booze) and as such must be held in reverence. ;)

Moyes was adamant he wanted Maguire. Steidten went out and got him the half price Greek version

We all know Moyes has lost the plot thinking we could bring Maquire under his tutelage , but now your saying that even the great reformer has brought in a player not worthy of the shirt , how can you Jay :o .

Would you do something like that if you thought he wasnt the right player to make the team better ? .

But would Moyes have played a player or type of player he didn’t want? I’m pretty sure Moyes contract would give him a say in transfers too.

Depends how much authority Steidten has really got. And I guess none of us know just how much that is. If he was in total charge he would bring in the player or players he wanted wouldn't he ? Of course football being a game of opinions he might have felt Mavropanos was the player who would make the team better. This being West Ham I doubt if we'll ever know.
