Emerson or Bowen for me, Areola with an outside chance.

Sure it'll go to Paqueta though.

As someone once said the truth hurts. Wouldn't you agree that our defence has been pretty poor so far this season ? And because of that Areola has had the chance to shine, and hasn't let anyone down. Go on, vote for him, you know it makes sense. ;)

Alvarez could have been in with a shout, no chance now though.

I would go for Areola, he has stepped up and cemented his place.

I was going to say that. A keeper winning POTY for a club suggests that the defence was a bit shit. Of course, that’s not always the case, but it would be somewhat accurate for us this season.
He gets the votes today for sure
Just like my dreams they fade and die.
But on the positive side..............

Why no chance for Alvarez Joe ?

Just because of his time out with injury. He has been the king pin of our midfield imo and on most of his performances has shown so. Areola has made it his though for the points he has saved us, and if every save yesterday was a point that is at least six in the bag.

Think Benny Mac will beat him, he is every inch an all round player.

Morning,
My choice was and still will be Areola, no one has come close imo, as it stands we are TOP of the goalkeeping saves thus far, yes more saves than Burnley and Sheffield United with the remaining 10, I think games left.
Which leads me nicely to my next topic of conversation.

Someone told me that we have conceded more shots on goal than any other team in the PL. If that's true it's a very worrying statistic imo. And that;s despite having Alvarez who would be my second choice for the HOTY stakes.
