West Ham vs Bristol City FA Cup Match Thread

Post by Ibbyham »

Now our attention moved to the FA Cup 3rd round which at least we got a home tie against Championship mid-table side, Bristol City which I hope Moyesball will give some youth a run of game. I would love to see Mubama and Marshall up front with Earthy, Orford and Chester behind but it is up to Moyes. I am not keen on Antonio returning as he is already out of date but may give a run of game.

Squad:

Fabianski

Laing/Johnson as Johnson had a bad knock against Brighton
Zouma
Mavropanos
Cresswell

Chester
Coventry
Soucek

Mubama
Marshall
Orford/Scarles.

We need to give some youth players a run of game as they have been so brilliant this season and deserve a match here.

COYI!!!!

Come on Ibbs , Scarles is a defender a LWB at his best though I could be wrong , Orford is a DM as far as I know . As for Chesters I know he was an attacking wide player but hasn't he been a revelation as a RWB .
Could add Earthy , Kodua and Casey to the list of potential starters .
Isn't Laing a CB ? Isn't Mubama a traditional 9 type of player , and not someone you want to see out wide .

Don't the U21s play with wingbacks , so a completely different system to the senior squad .Though I doubt we will see any of them , I wish to be proofed wrong .

Unless Moyes put 4-4-2 formation which is probably the best way forward as I am not 100% sure which positions the youth players play and whether they are versatile players that can play different position like Kudus and Paqueta does.

I am looking forward to see who the line up will be but hope to have at least 3 players from the youth in the line-up.
