Pre Season friendlies

Post by andyginbrasil »

So, here we go again, just 38 days to go before the start of the new season, and 5 days until our first friendly.
Most teams are back in pre season training now, using this prescious time to incorporate their latest additions into the team, and to get accustomed to new styles of play and tactics.
This gives the manager and training staff a good idea of his preferred team that will be starting on the 12th August.
Players will be at peak fitness by then, to start the season in tip top condition.
.
.
.
We on the other hand, like last season don't need all that fucking about.
Pre season training has yet to be announced, but I'm sure they will have a Skype meeting before their first game on Monday night.
No need to introduce the newbies to the rest of the team as there are none.
New styles of play and bind boggling new tactics that need time to incorporate into the team, for us is just another inconvenience as it is simpler to stick to what we and every other team in the league, after 3 seasons, are used to.
Of course we will be able to use the same excuse as last year after we have lost the first 3 games on the bounce, " We were not ready" ....
Yet another defibrillator has been brought in by the medical staff after a successful bid on eBay to, god forbid, be available for our ageing squad in the case of any medical emergency during training or match days.

Anyway enough of the preseason hype and down to the nitty gritty..... The games
.

July 10: Boreham Wood (A)
July 15: Perth Glory (Perth)
July 18: Tottenham (Perth)
July 22: Dagenham (A)
July 29: Rennes (A)
August 5: Bayer Leverkusen (A)

Looking forward to a good season....and :D

No new signings yet.

Just typical of way we do.our business.

Is it to save a few quid on wages?

Once a back market trader, always a back market trader.

Have no fear.

I've heard thatGareth Barry's been coaxed out of retirement and Danny Drinkwater's considering an offer.

All part of the Scottish lemur's master plan my good man.
I'm personally looking forward to a strong finish where we shall rise from 20th place like a 30 stone hairy backed tattooed yellow knickered female out on the lash on a Friday night in Newcastle to a more respectable 17th on goal difference safety.
Whereby the Scottish Marty Feldman will be galloping across the pitch in his tight 70's addidas leggings waving his arms wildly like a knitted Aron jumper in a tumble dryer proclaiming wiinin is wha I dooo.
I'm off to knock one out!!
Love a cup of Rosey I do.

Due to the minimal rotation of players throughout a very long season, they would have been fucked.

Happy for them to have a little extra time off - they earned it.

Be careful....that's way too positive for the so called 'supporters' on here.
And the fact that they played 10 days later than most other teams given the fina means they get more time off. It's easier to whinge though.
