@2.17 When the interviewer states we could be in the Champs league and then asks "do you want to be part of that ?"...

He very carefully answers "its a first time for West Ham (CL) and a brilliant achievement"...doesnt say yes doesnt say no, just states a fact, almost as if he knows he wont be with us next season...Ive noticed in other questions and interviews hes very careful about making any answers/statement that alludes in any way to staying with us...hmmm

Keeping his options open I guess, don’t blame him his stock has risen.

Will get a better pay deal somewhere else than he will here.

He wont be at West Ham next season.

His transfer fee will be well above our budget unless funded by Rice

Agreed.

I guess the only chance will be if we can gain the riches of the Champions League, but doesn't 4th only get you in the qualifying round ? I'm not sure of all the rules seeing as it's never affected West Ham before.

Everton got there once under Moyes and crashed out before the lucrative stuff. The priority has to be to build a stronger all round squad and of course to spend big on an Antonio replacement. Yes, selling Rice would do that. But it may come down to us being able to have one or the other, not both sadly.

Jesse's value is rising by the hour. The dwarf must really wish we owned him.

Nowadays , straight into the group stages my friend.

Unless Liverpool and The Arse win their respective European competitions whilst finishing outside the top 4.

In that scenario 4th gets you the good old Europa as there can be no more than 5 English Clubs in the CL .

I see.

Well that being the case, IF we do it, and it's still a big if, Stumpy will have to weigh up the choices. Lingard or another 40million in his and dribbly's bank balance.

Not to mention the cost of chartering Aeroplanes to 3 Euro destinations .
The remoteness depending of course on the competition.

Now let me see , Everton was a bit steep so , er , Budapest or Tel Aviv ???? 🤦🏼‍♂️

Was never going to happen, the thieves will not pay the money and I doubt he wants to stay. Still, it will make room for another loan to come in
