The last two games were against two very good sides it was inevitable we would come under pressure after their half time bollockings and change of tactics.
Both nicking goals before half time gave them hope
We had chances both games to finish the cunts off good and proper but fucking failed.
Bad luck and poor finishing.
Four points from them two games is a good return imo
and would have fucked up in both in the past not that we would have been three up in the fucking first place.
So the answer may be stop giving silly goals away before half time when we are totally in control, and give the other team some hope. What do we want as fans?.
We moan when we shut up shop and play out a boring 1-0 or 0-0, and we moan when we serve up a thrilling 3-2 victory.
In an ideal world we score 3 and let in none, but, as mentioned if Bowen sticks 2 sitters away, we would all be sitting here raving over a 2-5 away victory without arguably our best player. Fine margins.

It might just be me...but...going 3-0 up in the last two games and coming out for the second half in both games as we have.....the team have received a half time team talk from Popeye......and have followed his instructions..,.sit deeper...blah blah blah....we could have killed both the last two games if we had carried on as we were.... Popeye needs to learn that he is not a tactical genius (and never will be)..…for us to sit back and try to soak up the pressure is suicidal....why change the system that has put us in a winning position to a completely negative one....it does my fucking head in...,..and before anyone starts blaming the players ...they are only doing what they have been told to do
You don't think it has anything to do with the opposition changing their tactics, and being 3-0 down and having nothing to lose then?
You are right, off course you would expect oppo manager to change things halftime.
Our problem is we don’t have squad depth to make changes to combat this, or our manager makes strange subs ala Arsenal. The subs were forced on him with Antonio, but no striker to replace. Bowen is able but cannot play the Antonio role.
Masuaku & Fornals other changes forced due to not required match fitness yet after injuries. Again nobody on bench that could come on and change the tactics. No central midfielder to come on and add extra protection, no striker to come on and hold the ball up.
But apparently our manager is happy with the squad and squad depth, I’m truly amazed he has got us to 4th but this lack of squad depth will mean imo we will fall away.
It’s not what you do it is the way that you do it.

Don't want to sound all negative , but if a opposition manager can change their tactics why can't our manager change tactics to combat them ? , just saying .

Because as Towie has just summised, we haven't got the personnel.
That's the dwarfs fault. We lose anymore, we are truly fucked.

Rumours going around Antonio our for season. Nothing official yet and could be scaremongering, but still worrying our season could be fucked.

Won't be surprised if it's true mate. Still at least we got that second striker in...oh.

His last action - a monumental effort to force the ball in caused his withdrawal It might be precautionary or it could have signalled something going twang. Either way with 8 games left, I would be surprised if he completes 50% of them.
He is the type of player to be effective he needs to play with full on power - trouble is his fitness will not sustain that wear and tear, even over a short period. A three year contract extension is fine if you only plan to use him sparingly, but I don't think that is/was the plan...
