A Great Great Player and a Great Great Man...

You'd still be the Best Defender around if you were playing today.

R.I.P Sir Bobby.....

He was relatively young when he died 51. His son Dean also died in 2011 aged just 43 as a result of complications to do with his diabetes.

Tina his wife found romance in a long term relationship with Irish bar owner Steve Duggan, after meeting him ten years ago.

His daughter Roberta is a fine looking women having inherited the good looks of both her parents. She is now mid fifties

Always a class act and sorely missed. How he performed in Mexico, having been wrongly incarcerated in Bogota for nearly a week was remarkable.
Also remarkably how well he performed throughout late 1964/65 whilst being treated for testicular cancer (something that only became public knowledge in 2012); imagine something like that being kept quiet now!

What a class act.
A privilege to see him play and the way he conducted himself on and off the pitch speaks volumes of the man.
The ball played out to Hurst says it all, most defenders would have emptied their shorts in a league match let alone in a world cup final. Pure class.
Love a cup of Rosey I do.

I wish I’d seen the great man play (not just on video, dvd, tv and YouTube. His legendary reputation on and off the field has carried throughout all fanbases too from what I can see.

Bobby Moore was my first hero.

Has long as I can remember,Bobby's name was mentioned in our household.

When I was 6,my Dad took me to the Bobby Moore Shop and I chose a Bobby Rosette. My Dad has a photo of me and my younger brother in our West Ham shirts(were rather big  ),with the rosette on my shirt.

I begged my Dad to see him play.I went a few months later in 1971 and see him in the flesh for the first time.

I am not really an emotional person, but the day he died,I had tears running down my face. That what he meant to me.

Still miss the awesome fella.
