I am 56 years old and we have only ONCE had more points than this after 24 games in top flight.
That was in 1986.
From 24 games in 1985-86 = 48 points
From 24 games in 1983-84 = 43 points
From 24 games in 2020-21 = 42 points
Ibby, you are right about 84..I did check that year, but not obviously not properly.
We were doing really well, but then Devonshire done his ligaments that month and we finished 9th with 60 points,42 games( we got 17 points from the last 18 games)

Injuries can wreck anyone's season like Liverpool, Wolves, etc. so we have to hope to keep our players free from injuries. At this moment now, West Ham only have Masuaku, Yarmolenko, Randolph and Ogbonna as Balbuena and Antonio will be back this Sunday so only 4. At least our 4 defenders are as strong as each other so that a major plus. We got 15 games left so hope to get at least between 20 to 25 points to finish top 6.
Man City, Tottenham and Man Utd has European games so that gives us in favours but their strength in depth is far more stronger than us so we need to carry on building that.
"I am always correct", but "if I am wrong", please refer to the first phrase.
Well putting into perspective it’s our best season thus far for fucking years.
I haven’t enjoyed a season more since the Payet show and a few many years ago.
