The third slot is the Europa Conference - I shit you not.

Assuming City win the lot then place 5 and 6 are EL and 7 would be Conference.

Worst case scenario for us would be if , by some quirk of fate, Southampton were to win the F A Cup which I believe would somehow give them passage into the Europa League. Unless that's changed.

And just to pout everybody's mind at rest I don't think there has ever been a team from Uzbekistan in any of the European competitions. But , as always, I am happy to be corrected.
