West Ham vs Manchester City Official Match Thread

Post by Ibbyham »

Following our superb fight back and rarely we does that, I had a very great Monday morning feeling, wiping out Spuds faces which is party of my job. Anyway, moving on to the next hard game and Man City will be back to winning form and Aguero is back, could start against us. All I don't want is another stupid heavy defeat that we have done in past seasons since Peppa the Pig in charge. Need to sharpen our defence as Man City is no fluke although their defences are vulnerable, we need to be very sharpish on this if we stick to the same squad. Hopefully Antonio will be ok and Haller will be in squad day. Moyes will have dilemma whether to keep Balbuena or bring back Diop. Could be either of them.

Fabianski

Diop/Balbuena
Ogbonna
Cresswell
Coufal
Masuaku

Rice
Soucek
Fornals

Bowen
Antonio

Hope the match will be another good performance, not like last season 5-0 mauling as Moyes need to make sure West Ham 100% on Defending and Offending. Let us have a go this time!

Terrific intro Ibbs and this game doesn't feel as scary as usual. We should approach it without fear.

Be interesting to see if there are any changes. Saïd Benrahma has a few days to impress in training and Lanzini might also be extra perky about the place.

Yarmolenko seems to produce his best work from substitute so he might be one for the 66th minute.

Last week my initial score thought against Tottenham was 3-3 but changed it because that seemed ridiculous. This week my initial score thought is 4-2 so I will stick this time...I like getting everything wrong

Long as we don’t have the usual lay down and die attitude like we normally do against these cunts we might have a decent chance.

1-1

Cheers mate, hope you are right on your prediction but only 1% chance

Btw, Antonio is fine and available for the City game and West Ham have a fully fit squad which is a bonus that we rarely had this for many years.

As long as we are not a slow starter (international matches was to blame for our slow start against the smelly cunt team) Man City has at home against Porto at 8pm so West Ham will be ready by Saturday lunch time.

Still a long way to reach top 6 as we can't reached i under our 2 dwarfs and a piglet in charge......The only way we can finished top 6 this season if we keep our injuries at a minimum like in 1985-86 season which only used 18 players and 7 of them played 35+games. Had there were some injuries in 1985-86, we wouldn't finished 3rd.

Injuries can ruin seasons especially if long-term like we had during the last 4 years. Basically I would be happy if we finished 12th and above.
