Moyes desperately wants a centre- back and is gradually moving down the list as we are priced out or players don’t want to join us!? The latest link is Craig Dawson, 31 years old and plying his trade for Watford!? Now unless I’m mistaken yet Winston Reid is a similar age, and has now played 5 games for Kansas City, for which we are paying the majority of his wages. If a player can’t resume his career then the insurance covers this? As such do our medical staff know something we don’t know? Is it that he simply can’t play at a top level anymore? We have persisted with Lanzini (who has been a shadow of his past self, post his injury come back!?)
Just saying that if we need numbers, and he’s still on our books, and can play and train then surely Reid deserves a squad place? Risk - is minimal if he gets injured in the MLS then he comes back so why not take the chance?
Of course by transfer deadline we may have signed a “top quality centre back” so no need yet if Moyes is on number nine and ten on his list he could look no further and see what he already has!?!
Whilst I’m on a rant - did Ngakia walk around with his eyes closed when he said he left as he wanted regular football!?? We’ve just signed a right back which suggests that we need a right back!?!
Be nice if we signed a striker - yet would be surprised if that happened!!
