Premier League tackles Black Lives Matter

Post by BlackDiamond »

Here we go - Finally, the BLM crap is over and is replaced from this weekend with the "No room for racism" campaign. Kind of catchy in an unmemorable sort of way.

Although it does bring up thoughts of "No room in the inn" with connotations of Travelodge and the baby Jesus,if I'm following my iconoclastic interpretations correctly..

For those who are nervous about the "taking the knee" ritual being deleted - don't worry, that is still part of the pre game warm up. Basically, having started the fucking childish game, nobody can think of a way to elegantly bin the whole charade, without looking a ghastly old sourpuss.

Fuck em would be my response, but I don't have to balance the nations conscience,in the way that those with higher powers do.

I knew this was going to be difficult for players to extract themselves from this pathetic action.
I am certain players will be shocked at the enormous anger joe public has for this. What is really sad is that we have a number of black players who play for us now and have played for us in the past, who we dearly love and respect who will think we're not a good lot. That would be disappointing to say the least.

I fail to see how a peaceful gesture such as taking a knee to protest racism can be considered or described as pathetic.

Whilst some have attempted to hijack the message with more extreme motives at heart, they should not be allowed to diminish the validity of the message itself.

It saddens me that some of us fall into that trap and elect to denigrate a good cause.

When you see black players adding the black power salute it becomes a political slogan.
It has no place in sport.
No crowds mean this charade will continue for the foreseeable.

So everything’s ok again then .

I shall continue to moderate all you cunts purely out of respect for Big Nose and the Aberdeen public lavatory cleaner Wee Jock Poo-Pong McPlop .

But Football can go fuck itself .

I hope the Premier League sell out to Dwarf Cunt Sullivan and it goes down the flusher faster than West Ham United Football Club.

I’m off to the kitchen to hack off my head with a big knife !
Bring back Jonathon !

But we already had “Kick it Out” which was an anti-racism campaign for just about every non-white race there is.

The BLM movement (as you will obviously know) originated in the U.S as a mass protest against the illegal killings of black people. Not asian, not oriental, not American indian, not eskimo...... but black people.
It then spread around the world and had apparently, in the UK supplanted “Kick it Out”.
This is what has troubled many people in this country.
The fact that we already had an inclusive, non-political anti-racism movement that was already making significant progress (especially compared to neighbour states around Europe) and seemed to tick most of the boxes but was suddenly shoved into the peripheral by something apparently less inclusive and with political connections (and those connections ARE there whether linked directly or not to the honest and peaceful protesters).

I believe what Sky are now doing is to try to move public perception of them back towards “Kick it Out” as BLM has become political and as Dwayne says, has no place in sport.

I don’t believe for 1 minute that Sky is doing this for the common good btw...... this is merely a reflection of the fact that they’re shitting bricks over subscriptions and need to get back on the fence as someone up there has suddenly realised they’re pissing off a lot of subscribers here.

The liberal Tory government, the Premier League, Sky, BT, BBC. All of them. They fail to recognise the fan base of people who attend (or attended) matches, or more to the point now, pay the bills for whatever TV package they're on.

They're not black activists. Nor are they leftie tree-huggers or North London LSE educated bubble Corbyn-noshers. Certainly not middle-class professional complainers who rarely see a black face in their lives outside of their marches or the weekly visit to their local tandoori.

They're people like you and me.

Normal people who've never thought black lives didn't matter but are now sick and fucking tired of having it rammed down our throats. Bored senseless of Sky's perpetual screening of that privileged cunt Lewis Hamilton telling us all that we have to do better every time they have a commercial break. Which is loads.

It's a MASSIVE own goal and it's not a harmless gesture taking the knee. It's political. Which has no place in sport end of. And I find it utterly distasteful that they still worship on the altar of a sadly dead criminal, come part-time porn star, come crackhead piece of shit who they unbelievably spent airtime filming the funeral of. While not giving a toss for the funeral of a legend who sang for us in our darkest hour in the Blitz. Presumably because of the fact she was white and it didn't fit in with their agendas.

With no intended disrespect for the two new black presenters on Sky Sports Saturday. You can go fuck yourselves. I'll be listening on the radio from now on, just like the old days.

Who gives a fuck if they take a knee or not?

Every decent person will realise that all lives matter someone taking a knee really doesn’t influence my thoughts on the matter.

I’m just interested in the football.
It’s not what you do it is the way that you do it.

It's having something rammed down your throat 24/7 it seems at the moment...I'm not against anything that brings the
inequality issue up...but what was a minimal issue in the UK has now become a Big one... true Racists are few and far
between here....all the stuff you hear at footie etc,are usually from load mouth ignorant fucks, personally can't remember
last time I heard anything anti Black...Anti Jews Yes,Anti Asian,Occasionally,Piss taking bout refugees yes,the Black
Racism issue in footie is very much down the bottom end.
Footie has Prob done more to alleviate racism than than cause problems with it....Ever since I can remember,we've
loved our Blacks Players at West Ham,as much as anyone, they've just been treated the same...Are you any good at
footie or not...colours been irrelevant...so it helped, this attitude was taken outside the game into everyday lives....
Biggest "Hatred" I saw growing up was a an Asian/Black thing.
In Fact I'd say the biggest Racist issue we have in the UK...by far, is an Asian/East European/Gypsy thing...now Refugees,
Not Black...

You have to take this, cause you don't know me,but don't have a racist bone in my body...I grew up with a majority of my
friends being Black, Lambeth to North Kensington,Footie teams I played in School and outside were mainly Black...
When I got Moved this way at 15,was uncomfortable cos there were no Blacks, felt fuckin weird, hated it.
But this morning...was something on TV advertising a program, bout Black Influences on Classical Music....
I'm ashamed to say it was...Oh FFS,stop all this shit banging on about Blacks, and turned sound down...

So all this shit has made me...who doesn't give a fuck about anyones colour...team you support is more important
to me. ..to someone who maybe is starting to acknowledge a difference...and I'm not happy with it.
