Thats a good piece....Nailed it.

Mark is Club Captain ...so is very much the Go Between and it's his job to Big the Club up...even if that means trying
to support Owners he "Maybe" doesn't care to much for...we can call them what we want ...If we're careful,he can't...

Personally think it's amazing, and have even more respect for him than I did before...to come out and say that....
How many of us would put our future on the line like that...Top Man...

agree mate but lets not forget his worth a few million due to play the great game at our club

if I had a few million in the bank and was very close to retirement as he his (another season or so)
I would have told the board where they could shove the dildo

what's he got to lose

great captain but lets get it in respective his not a working bloke like you or me who if he walked or sacked could not
keep his house or car or worse

they live and play in a bubble

still good to see him saying something but he could have gone further IMHO

Yeah.....TBH if I was in the game...earning the crazy amounts that's in it...I'm sorry but loyalty goes out the window...
I would wanna screw the system for every penny, and protect what I personally have....if that means alienating a few
people on the way, so be it....

Mark is a close to "coming from the heart" as any pro out there IMO.....and TBH again..I might have kept my trap shut,
thinking...the owners will be here when I retire possibly,I might wanna nice little coaching job or assistant Manager...

He's got guts for calling them out..

so is very much the Go Between - No he's not. If he went to the top brass with an issue they would tell him to F off. He's just a pawn as a local lad.

and have even more respect for him than I did before. - More respect than when he championed the OS move for a new contract? More respect than when he assaulted a fan? More respect than when he acted like the owners messenger boy? Not exactly hard for his respect to grow beyond those 'heights', is it?

to come out and say that - He said nothing. A couple of ambiguous quotes on social media. Meh. No formal interview stating his grievances in plain English, is there?

How many of us would put our future on the line like that - What future? He knows this contract will be his last so he has not risked a n impending contract. Nothing changes for Little Marky, does it?

Indeed my learned friend.

Growing up in the slums of Cardiff, young dwarf always dreamed of the day he'd run his heroes, West Ham. Years of wise investing came to fruition and then he met David Gold, East End through and through, who pulled babies out of the rubble in Plaistow during the Blitz and who's own glittering career at Upton Park was curtailed due to his commitment to charity work. In fact his girlfriend at that time, Vera Lynn, said. "David. You won't get nowhere giving all your money away love".

But the two philanthropists were undeterred.

Using the Bluenoses as a springboard they saved our club. And I say Gawd Bless 'em.

Run Like a Circus ?

Oh no he isn't.

A fine piece indeed m'lud.
These fans don't know the sacrifices these two gents have made.
Do they not know that the silver fox was due to star in a Anne summers porn version of James bonds A man and his golden bum, but instead opted to paint Upton park on his own.
Or for that matter that the short one in his spare time earned money modelling in cuckoo clocks so that he could one day buy his beloved arsenal.
There's just no gratitude from some of these people.
Love a cup of Rosey I do.
