I think one thing that this makes obvious and maybe a silver lining, is that they are sacrificing a young academy talent to convert to a large profit ratio, rather than lose money on a cut price Anderson deal and now seem to following Moyes' calls for paying for defenders. I think we can all agree that last years squads with a better back 4 would not have been in relegation straits for so long. Anyway, selling youth now to sure-up the overall team needs reeks of them just doing what it takes in the immediacy to remain in the premier league, so as to extract the largest possible sale price in 2023.

Hopefully I'm right and the do sell us to an ownership group that can take us to another level, then perhaps we could afford to buy (or re-buy!!) one of the best left wingers in the league!
