Not to mention something of a pointless charade. Surely the armband need only be handed over to someone in the event of the team captain being replaced.? There are some clubs who have a team captain who is different to the club captain, are there not ?

It was ridiculous actually. Play was resuming and Noble was jogging which made it harder for Rice to fasten the clip. I hated it. Completely unnecessary.

Fair play, yes I don't see the point of that at all but I assume Dec is as much behind that as Noble but it is pointless. I assume it is just a mark for respect.
